Travelling to Europe after 29th March 2019 NOW 31st October 2019

Travelling to Europe In the event of a No deal Brexit is likely to require a Green Card.

Many of us remember the days of having to get a green card when we took the car to Europe.

In the event of a no deal Brexit, those days may make an unwelcome return, as the European cover on the back of our UK motor certificates ceases to operate.

It is by no means certain this will happen of course, but insurers have made provisions to issue Green Cards from 29th March in case they are needed.

There will be no charge made by the vast majority of insurers and we are told that the Green Card can be issued quickly within 24 hours.

However..

If you are planning to take a car, van or HGV abroad for business or pleasure on or after 29th March, make sure you contact us at least 5 working days before,so that we can be sure that you have all the necessary paperwork with you before you begin your journey.
